A few words about us

Our goal is to provide the highest quality and best tasting  baked goods.   We strive to satisfy our loyal customers in Greenpoint, Brooklyn and beyond.      

Our bakery was established almost 25 years ago with the goal of providing the highest quality and best tasting baked goods for the people of Greenpoint, Brooklyn.   Our authentic breads and rolls come from Old World European recipes.  Our apple strudels, cheese cakes and pastries are made just as they were made in Europe long ago.  From the onset, we strove to satisfy every customer that purchased our baked goods.  Today, we are proud our loyal customers reach as far north as Maine and as far south as Florida.

We've been baking healthy whole grain breads and rolls and delicious cakes and pastries for almost 25 years.  

The aroma of our baked goods draws local residents into our store.  We invite everyone to visit and enjoy a hot cup of coffee and paczek (Polish donut).  We bake pastries, including croissants and danishes, that our loyal customers look forward to every morning.  The cafe serves a wide range of specialty coffees, including cappuccino, espresso, latte, Americano, and flavored coffees. Try our bagels with one of a vast assortment of cream cheeses including bacon, salmon, chives, dill and garlic, sun-dried tomato with basil, olive and vegetable.  Tasty sandwiches are made to order all day long.

Our breads and rolls are uniquely flavorful.  Our wide variety of breads include sunflower, whole grain, sour dough, garlic, Lithuanian, wheat, rye, home-style rye, pumpernickel, marble rye,  raisin-walnut, pumpkin and corn.  Our challah bread is hand braided and has a beautiful brown crust.  Our rolls include whole grain, whole wheat, European, kaiser, ciabatta, pumpkin seed, raisin-walnut  and sweet rolls.  We bake nine different types of bagels including our delicious everything, whole grain and onion bagels.  Our sour dough, plain and whole grain French baguettes are delicious.

Our traditional Polish babkas are a customer favorite!  Handmade cheese and fruit strudels as well as poppy seed and walnut strudels are made daily.  Our Polish style cakes include cheesecake, apple cake and our moist, flavorful pound cakes are among the tastiest around.  Handmade angel wings are light and delicate and melt in your mouth!  Our cookies come in a variety of flavors and tastes, and children love our popular star cookies! 

We welcome you to come enjoy all that Syrena Bakery has to offer.  Open 6 days a week, Monday to Friday from 5 am to 6:30 pm and Saturday from 5 am to 5 pm.
